Email builder: Content elements
The Email builder is a message building tool where you can create an email, rearrange its structure(s), then drag and drop content in the shape of content elements.
You can drag and drop the content elements from the menu onto the canvas or drag them from one place on the canvas to another, to rearrange them, within the same structure or between structures. Both actions will preserve the overall design of the template.
Heading
A heading element can be used to create hierarchy in your emails and are ideal for titles and sub-titles. They are bigger and visually distinct from your body text and will allow your reader to quickly scan your email.
You can configure the default font and font size for each heading level through your email style panel. Each heading element has its own style settings that can deviate from these default settings.
Text
The text is the basis of your message. It is the most important element you use to give your contact information. It is crucial to how you present yourself and your brand.
In the Email builder you can drag and drop your text elements directly onto the canvas and easily manage and style your text-based content. Color, font, size and spacing are not the limit.
You can easily add links to websites, email addresses, phone numbers, forms, surveys, landing pages, personalized links or even files stored in your Media library to download. On top of that you can personalize your message through placeholders and make your content even more engaging.
You can configure the default styling through your email style panel.
Line
A simple horizontal line helps you to visually divide your content. Introduce order to the chaos of even the messiest email in existence. Not sure where the division should be? Just drag and drop your line element onto the canvas. After placing it you can still drag it around with the handle bar on the right of the element.
Once your line element is added take a moment to step back and decide how to you can style your line to fit in your email flawlessly. You can change the line thickness, color and type (solid, dashed, dotted) and set margins, width and alignment to match your branding to a t.
Spacer
The era of messages overcrowded with content is long gone. Less is more. Powerful messages do not need many images or text to do their job. Express your brand with style an allow your content breath a bit by adding white space using the Spacer element. How much do you need? Drag and drop a spacer in and you can finetune it until it feels just right. If you feel adventurous you can add a dash of color to your empty space.
Button
Make your call to action irresistible with the Button element. A button is usually perceived as the centerpiece of a successful message. To click or not to click - that is the question. And with the Builder, the answer is yes. Not only is the in-button text style fully manageable, you can also change layout, color, size and border fully to your liking.
Most importantly, the action of the buttons can be very diverse. You can guide your contact to an external URL or an internal landing page. You can ask them to fill out a form or participate in a survey. You can start a conversation - the button can open an email message to you from their local email client or open their phone app with your phone number. You can also offer them a file for download. Be creative, you surely have ideas.
Image
Images are what makes your content attractive and attention-grabbing. The use of the right images can boost your sales, bring up your engagement, increase your subscription rate, lead to more social media attention, improve your brand recognition and any other objective you may have.
In the Email builder, image management is a piece of cake. The templates already include eye-catching images, but you could also upload your own using the Media library. With the Image Editor you can rotate, flip and crop your image directly on the canvas until it fits your email like a glove.
Next to good looking, it's also possible the make your images functional. In the Image style panel on the right, you can add a description (alt text) to every image in your email. This will improve it's accessibility and makes it screen reader friendly. You can even add links to your images.
Socials
Your social media says a lot about you. You might want to add our social media icons to your email to compliment your current message. Even if your contact did not engage with the current email, you want them to be able to find out what you have been up to. Maybe they missed something they shouldn't have.
With the Email builder adding your social media presence is easier than ever. We offer three types of beautiful icon sets - Original, rounded, and square - in three colors - Original, Dark and Light - for all 17 of our supported platforms.
Support tip
To ensure the best possible compatibility a social media element can contain up to 6 channels at a time. If you need more, just add a second element to you canvas.

Element style (element settings)
After clicking on an element, you are able to configure it using the Element style panel that will appear on the right. The exact settings you will find here may differ depending on the the element you have selected and if you are currently viewing the desktop version of your e-mail or the mobile version.
All settings in this panel will be grouped in sections as Content, Layout, Visibility, ... and can be configure separately for Desktop and for Mobile using the tabs on top. The Element style panel will stay in sync with your current view: if the mobile version of your Element has settings that are different from it's desktop counterpart, it will be indicated with a dot.
