Set up a survey scenario
If you set up a survey scenario you can redirect your contacts from one page of the survey to another or from one question to another, based on their answers. If you want to set up a survey scenario, first make sure that you have different pages in the survey.
This article will show you how to set up a survey scenario.
- To set up a survey scenario, go to Forms > Surveys.
- Click on the gear icon next to the desired survey and select Edit survey scenario.
- Here you will see all your questions and pages. At the end of every page you have the option to select to which page the survey would jump next after completing the whole page or to end the survey at a certain point.
- You can refer a contact to a certain page based on the answer they give. You will see drop-down lists with all your pages next to the answers.
You can refer a contact to a page based on an answer only in multiple choice questions with 1 possible answer.
Let's see an example.
In the first page of our survey we will ask our contacts if they prefer online shopping for clothes or shopping at stores. If they choose "Stores" we will refer them to the pages containing questions regarding shopping at stores, in this case, page 2.
When they answer the questions meant for store shoppers, we can end the survey for them by selecting End of the survey without making them answer questions regarding online shopping.
If the contact chooses the "Online" answer on the first page of the survey, we will refer them to the pages containing questions regarding online shopping, in this case, page 4. That way, they will skip the questions meant for store shoppers.
